We returned home from our epic five day drive from Florida yesterday. Twenty-six hours. TWENTY audio book chapters of Brandon Sanderson’s Oathbringers. 4 nutty bars, a bag of Cheetos and McDonalds… (I don’t know why I eat like a teenager when I travel. It’s like a Pavlovian response. I get in the car and think…road trip!Â

Listen, I know a lot of you are cold. I’m praying for Texas and Minnesota and all the other cold, blizzardly places. Frankly, I love snow, and sitting by a cozy fire reading a book. But it can be dangerous…stay inside. Bundle up. Drink some cocoa. This too, shall pass.

So, you know how it went…last year was the crazy year.
The year we all found ourselves doing something different. Staying at home. Homeschooling, maybe. Reading more. Making foods we hadn’t tried. Mostly, living outside our comfort zone, right?
Me too.
So, I did something I’d ALWAYS wanted to do but never had time.

I dunno about you, but it’s nearly three weeks into 2021 and already I need a little time out. With Christmas, my dear Mother-in-law’s home going, too much travel, and the news (don’t get me started!)…I’m ready to escape to someplace happy.
