Okay, I’m going to tell you a secret.
Today. Just now. I finished Book 3 of an epic new series I’ve been hinting at for weeks, and I simply cannot hold it in one more second: Roy and Ziggy: Against All Odds.

It’s a rather gloomy day here in Minnesota. I’m not complaining—I love rainy days. And my pajamas. Rainy days and pajamas. That’s where we’re at today.
I’m sitting here with my coffee, reflecting on July. It was a good month. We attended two family reunions, hung out in Pennsylvania with friends, visited Constitution square and installed a sprinkler system in our garden (actually hubs did that,
Okay, it’s been HOT this week at our house. Mostly because today, we discovered our bedroom AC wasn’t working. Whoops.
But here’s the thing. We just got back from our epic trip out east for the family reunion (last weeks news!) and staying with a writer friend, (also last week) and then made an epic one-day stopover in Phili to hang around constitution square.
I’m currently in Pennsylvania. At a cabin nestled in the beautiful forests of southern Pennsylvania. As I made my coffee this morning, I caught this deer in the backyard.
I love this part of the US – my imagination goes wild with the history. As we drove through winding roads and lush forest,
I dunno about you, but I’m ready for the weekend.
I spend the first week of every month doing all my non-writing work – all my accounting, analyzing and creating advertising, line edits, reading books for editorial feedback (for Sunrise Publishing), sometimes reading books for endorsement, and organizing tasks for the rest of the month.
So…It’s a good day to celebrate!
Why are we celebrating?
Because Scent of Hope is OUT. Right now. Book 2 of the Call of the Wild series.
Two broken hearts. One deadly mission. And one very good avalanche dog named Orlando standing between them and a killer.
Hope you had a lovely weekend! I was deeply moved by some of the speeches given at the Arlington Memorial event. I’m so grateful for the sacrifice of so many to preserve our country.
We had a fun weekend. Headed over to my brother’s house for a cookout on Sunday night.

Okay, I admit it – I’m tired. I might have overworked this week, trying to catch up from last week, (I did write all the brains out of my head, and my latest rough draft is cooling. It’s book one in my 2027 series…I’ll give you a hint. There might be a certain fella named Royal as the headliner…) and I’m so looking forward to a relaxing weekend.

You know that I came home to a bazillion boxes. No, we didn’t move. If you recall (and it’s okay if you blocked it out — I tried to. Oh, I tried. If you remember, I ran away to Florida) — our house flooded while we were gallivanting around Greece last summer.

It’s Sarah, popping in on Susie’s behalf this week because, well… she’s been a little busy. You may remember that last year while she was happily frolicking across Spain (you can imagine Susie Frolicking, right?), her refrigerator was quietly flooding her house — which led to a complete gut and renovation.
