Our morning meeting is now in session!

Rel Mollet Books, Family

Pull up a chair — the meeting’s already started.

This is what a Susan May Warren Fiction morning meeting looks like: three generations, one very small chairwoman running a tight agenda (JoJo does not tolerate rabbit trails), and enough coffee to reanimate the dead. Here’s our meeting minutes.

Agenda Item one: The garage lives.

The sheetrock is IN, people.

Doesn’t it look nice? Painting is next…and the dumpster has officially arrived, which means we can finally empty the massive container that’s been squatting on my driveway. (I sometimes wonder if our neighbors walk by our house and say, “she’s at it again!”)

My son is driving over from Wisconsin on Saturday to haul the heavy stuff. (I admit, I played the pulled back muscle card!) I have such amazing kids.

Item two: Homeland security is handled.

No need to worry — the boys are on high alert.

There is currently a rabbit in the yard. You know the issues we have with Mitty (cue the great bunny debacle of 2021 that ended up with me needing a knee replacement. Lesson learned…do not try to save the bunnies). So, they will have to defend the homeland from inside the gates.

Final item on the agenda: Sarah’s new book! (Speaking of amazing kids—okay yes I know she’s in her thirties but you know what I mean)

What book, you say? Oh. This one👇

If you love small towns, harvest festivals, and hayrides at golden hour…
If you love the dependable sister who’s roped in to save the day…
If you love a drifter with a guarded heart just passing through…
If you love forced proximity, slow-burn, and second-chance autumn feels…

…then you’re going to want to curl up with this one.

The harvest festival is weeks from falling apart, and Charlotte Sullivan’s family knows exactly who to call. Callan Carver was only supposed to be passing through — but a shorthanded festival needs every pair of hands. Hayrides, pumpkin patches, one impossible deadline, and two hearts that never planned on any of this.

Want a taste? Here’s a fun sneak peek for you!

I cannot WAIT to sink into this one. I’m talking fireplace crackling, cinnamon candle lit, the good blanket, every last autumn vibe deployed. If you need me, I’ll be the happy little lump on the couch making contented sighing noises.

Cozy season is officially open.

You’re welcome.

P.S. Speaking of stories set in the fall—this entire series is set from Sept-Christmas. And this is the perfect time to listen! The entire Minnesota Marshalls Audiobook Bundle is on sale right now — $59.95 down to $29.98. That’s the whole Montana Marshall crew in your ear. This has one of my favorite stories (Ned saving Shae when she’s kidnapped in Russia!) and Iris and Hud (Football!) Grab it before the sale hops off like a certain rabbit. (see what I did there?) 🐇
