So here’s the thing. I’m sort of a homebody. I mean, in the way that a homebody likes to travel the world, but I when I’m home, I’m home. I don’t do a lot of book clubs or signings or things like that. Mostly because I’m really busy, but also, it required putting on makeup.
The long wait…
Happy Friday!
Okay, so. Last weekend, I did a thing. A thing I’ve been waiting to do for a long time.
No, don’t get excited. I didn’t purchase a sailboat and traverse the world. (Not that thing, the other thing!)
I stained my office door.
What,
To all the dreamers out there…
So you know how last Saturday I was on an airboat dodging gators?
On Sunday, (after church!) I went full space nerd.
I spent the day at Kennedy Space Center and it always just…moves me. Here’s the thing—when you’re standing out at the launchpad area, looking at where actual human beings strapped themselves into a tin can sitting on top of basically a giant firework and said “Yeah,
The Hunt Goes On!
Surprise! It’s me, Sarah! Susie is deep in the writing cave, finishing the fourth and final installment in the Hunt for Alan Martin series. I’ll tell you, I was STOKED when she told me she was finally writing this story because I knew people were going to be so excited! And it turns out, they were.
A train crash, a dangerous stranger, and one epic second-chance love story…
Okay, so the most common email subject I’ve received since Steinbeck released is…When is Alan ding-dang Martin going to get caught?
Now.
Or at least…the HUNT for Alan Martin starts now, with NORTH!
This book. You guys. This book was SO FUN to write. First—North and Selah’s story has been hovering in the background since Jake Silver’s book,
And then I got this…
So this thing happened. See, for years I wanted a blue BMW convertible. And in my head, I felt like my big 6-0 (I don’t want to talk about it) birthday might be the magic birthday. I even shopped around, and found one…but the price was too high. So…I said. Nope. Lord, if you want to give me a BMW convertible,
Oh what fun…
I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling the hustle and bustle of the christmas season right now. With just two days until the big trek north, I’m up to my eyeballs in wrapping paper so I can haul all these gifts with us.
For reference, this is our tree from last year:
But I wanted to stop what I’m going for a second and share a little something fun!
Oh, so much fun!
I hope you had a great weekend! I spent it in Little Falls, Minnesota at the Mississippi River Readers Retreat. So much fun to hang out with readers! Here are some fabulous shots.
It’s so fun to have reader friends. I did a little contest/game where I described a character and then had them guess who it was.
I double-dog dare you…
It all started with a dare.
We were staying at a Hilton in Florida for my birthday getaway. (this was before we lived in Florida) and the pool director announced a “beginners scuba diving” experience in the pool.
The 5 foot deep pool.
Hubs said… “You’ve always wanted to see if you could do this…now’s your chance.”
I said.
A good day!
What a great week. I spent it with oooooold friends (we’ve been friends for 50+ years!)
hanging out by this pool…
We had deep talks about life and lessons and gratitude…the kind of getaway that helps you take a good look at your life and see how God has walked with you every step of the way.
