To all the dreamers out there…

Rel Mollet Books, Good Stuff

So you know how last Saturday I was on an airboat dodging gators?

On Sunday, (after church!) I went full space nerd.

I spent the day at Kennedy Space Center and it always just…moves me. Here’s the thing—when you’re standing out at the launchpad area, looking at where actual human beings strapped themselves into a tin can sitting on top of basically a giant firework and said “Yeah, let’s do this”… it hits you. The sheer courage of those astronauts. The audacity. The “I know this might not end well but I’m going anyway” of it all.

The Command Center

Tiny Capsule…for 3 days!

The Shuttle

And what really got me was seeing the whole progression laid out—from those early rockets where they were basically making it up as they went along, to the Space Shuttle program that built the International Space Station and now the relaunch of the moon program and the Gateway station they’re planning to build. We’re going back to the moon, and this time we’re building a pit stop on the way to Mars.

Coooool.

I just love innovators who dream so big it sounds crazy—and then they roll up their sleeves and make it happen. There’s something about standing in those spaces that makes you want to dream bigger too. To stop playing it safe and go chase the impossible thing.

(Also, the rocket garden is just cool. I don’t care how old you are. Giant rockets are cool.)

Speaking of adventures worth taking… if you haven’t picked up your copy of NORTH yet, it’s now available on Barnes & NobleApple Books, and Kobo—wherever you like to get your reads (except Amazon). And if you’ve already read it and loved it, I would be forever grateful for a review. You have no idea how much those matter. Truly.

Now. This weekend’s adventure is… slightly less glamorous than space exploration. We’re tiling the bathroom. I know, I know, I plan the best weekends. Tiles. Grout. Pix to come, and I make no promises about how pretty it’s going to look in the “during” phase. But hey—if NASA can build a space station, I can tile a bathroom.

…Right?

Happy weekend, friends!

P.S. Want something fun (and FREE) to read this weekend?

How about something from the Amazing Lynette Eason?

Six half-siblings who are strangers. Millions of dollars. A dead man and a will. What could possibly go wrong?

Grab your FREE copy of The Other Brother!

Addy Manning just discovered she’s the daughter of a millionaire and has five half-siblings she’s never met. To claim her inheritance, she has to attend the funeral and stay in his creepy mansion. Detective Rhys Beckett is there to arrest one of them for kidnapping—or possibly murder. But when someone starts picking off the siblings one by one, Rhys and Addy find themselves fighting to stay alive.

It’s like Clue meets a romance meets “why did I agree to stay in this house.”

Enjoy!
