Here’s the truth about my double identity…

Rel Mollet Books, Family, On Writing

You might not know this about me, (or maybe you do), but I’m a total addict of Secret Super Heroes. Like Superman, Batman and the Green Arrow. Give me a masked man…

What I love is their balance between regular guy and masked crusader, and the struggle to keep that secret.

I’d like to think I have my own secret identity.

For example, normally I’m…Devoted wife of 32 years to my amazing husband (here’s us last month at our anniversary trip to Napa)

And, I’m…Family chef to this group of rabble rousers (here’s us on our newly built patio, eating dinner a few weeks ago).

And I’m….Maymay to my favorite smarty-pants, and Mom to my beautiful, smart daughter.

And…finally, I’m a founding member of this awesome group of people.

But sometimes I’m also….David James Warren, Draft author of the True Lies of Rembrandt Stone.

Lemme ‘splain.

So, David Warren (my son) and good friend James L. Rubart and I got together and brainstormed an epic TIME TRAVEL detective series, along the lines of Quantum Leap and Back to the Future (with a little of Harry Bosch thrown in). And then I went home and WROTE the series. David and Jim added their edits to it, but the baseline characters, Rem and Eve are Susie May creations.

Why am I taking off my mask? Because I keep getting questions….Is DJW you? Your son? Does he fight crime? Is this a SMW book?

YES to all.

In fact, I think, weirdly, because I wrote it under a mask (aka, a pseudonym) I think it might even be one of my BEST SERIES YET. (And, if you are waiting for the signature SMW spiritual thread… just wait. I PROMISE it’s worth it.)

So, there it is, my secret is out…just to you. 😊

Oh, and by the way, Book #4, Set in Stone, JUST hit the stands! (click on the image for links)

I’m LOVING this review…

Books 5 & 6 come out in the next three months—not long to wait, so by the time you’ve caught up, you’ll be ready! (Read more about them and all the others at www.rembrandtstone.com)

So, if you’re missing fresh stuff from me…now you know. (And I think you’ll really love my alter ego, Rembrandt Stone.)

Hope you’re having a great month! I cannot believe summer is nearly over.

XOXO!
