I know, I know–long time no hear. I’ve been head down, working on a story! (Oh, I can’t wait to tell you ALLL about it—it features one of the Kingston brothers from Alaska. His name is Ranger, and he’s all cool headed and serious until the woman he loves goes missing…more on that later!)

Remember the fun Dr. Suess tale, Horton Hears a Who? I loved reading that book (and later my son starred in a Suessical version of said book), but my favorite line is when all the Whos, who live on a speck on a dandelion, start to raise their voice as one saying,
So, you know how it went…last year was the crazy year.
The year we all found ourselves doing something different. Staying at home. Homeschooling, maybe. Reading more. Making foods we hadn’t tried. Mostly, living outside our comfort zone, right?
Me too.
So, I did something I’d ALWAYS wanted to do but never had time.
I hope you had a fabulous Thanksgiving! Listen, I know it was quiet (if you lived in a state where you had to shelter in place). I agree. I cooked for 4 people instead of my usual, beloved 14, but on the bright side, because it was so quiet, I didn’t burn anything. Almost didn’t feel right…
It’s finished!!

This is today’s view. I know you’re thinking…snow? But what I see are WINDOWS. And light. And occasionally ducks and geese. But most of all…a long-awaited dream nearly finished.
We’ve lived in our current house for 4 years, and when we moved in,

As a writer, the days already blur a little, especially when I’m deep in writing a book. But this has certainly been different.
