All the Sneak Peeks…
Bubby and I are peeking in to say hi.
I know. This cuteness has the ability to make me lose my brains.
Forget why I’m writing.
Which is…oh yeah.
THIS GUY.
Admittedly, not as cute as Bubby, but…he still has his high points.
Freedom & the Fourth!
Hey friends!
We had a wonderful time as a family celebrating 4th of July a couple of weeks ago. It always gets me thinking…about hot dogs, fireworks and watermelons! And, for we Americans, being grateful we live in a country where we’re free to share our opinions, and believe in the right for us to have them.
Do you need a fresh start this February?
A New Perspective on Goal Setting
I don’t know about you, but by today, January 31st, I have usually obliterated all my New Years resolutions. Raise your hand if that’s you. Oh, we mean well, don’t we? Every year I spend a few days putting together the action plans of My Book Therapy and Susan May Warren Fiction –
Simplify and Savor
“Around the same time, a man called John began to travel, preach and ritually wash people through baptism in the wilderness of Judea. John preached a stern but exciting message. Repent! For the kingdom of heaven is near.”

Except, I can’t really because no one is in the kitchen at my house,
Cooking and Fiction
I love cooking shows, and I’ve always wanted to write a story about an everyday Iron Chef (hello, every mother out there who’s opened the fridge and said, “Huh, what can I make with a carrot, a hunk of cheese, two eggs, and a leftover pancake?”). Our family went to Hawaii last year, and the setting captured my heart—I knew I had to put a book there,
Happy 4th of July (And an Epic 99-Cent Sale to Celebrate!)
I never realized how patriotic I was until I spent Independence Day in another country. To my shock, July 4th in Russia came without fireworks, hot dogs on a campfire, or any hint of watermelon! We had to decide—did we celebrate our freedom anyway, on our own?
We lived in the middle of a county just experiencing the first taste of freedom from oppression,
