What saying yes did!

Rel Mollet Books, Family, Good Stuff

So, we’ve been on a sort of adventure the past three weeks:

During the adventure of unpacking and painting my bedroom and bathroom, I got on Zoom and did an interview with a life coach for her upcoming Women of Unique Beauty summit.

(By the way, you can sign up for the summit HERE for free!)

She asked me the secret of my success.

“It’s not a secret,” I said. “It’s easy. I said YES when God said GO.”

Yes.

That’s it.

I said yes when God said Go, be a Missionary. I said yes when God said, Go write the very best newsletter you can for your organization. I said yes when God said…Go submit that newsletter to a magazine. I said yes when God said, Go learn how to write a novel. I said yes when God said, keep writing and don’t give up.

Saying YES to God has changed my life. And yes, sometimes my YES has led to challenges. You’ve heard about some of them (e.g. our home invasion in Russia, our house fire in MN, our self-remodel of our 55 year old home – built in 1965.)

(this weekend I said YES to a bathroom remodel project!)

The key to all of this, of course, is that I have to listen to God. Which means I have to spend time with Him. Every day, for the past thirty years.

Yes, God I will listen to you. I will walk through that door.

Crazy, beautiful, challenging and blessed things happen when we say yes. My hero, Jake learns this in Heart of a Hero when he says YES to the nudge to rescue the woman he can’t forget when a hurricane threatens the Florida Keys.

I’ve been super blessed by all the wonderful reviews. I love this one by Urban Lit Magazine!

Heart of a Hero comes out JUNE 2nd! (Just 2 weeks away!)

(AND, BTW, the FIRST BOOK in the series, the WAY OF THE BRAVE is only $1.99 on KINDLE RIGHT NOW). *yes, that was shouting because, seriously? $1.99?

The Way of the Brave (Global Search and Rescue Book #1) by [Susan May Warren]

What have you said yes to that has changed your life?

Maybe you’ve said yes to something this Q-tine that you want to keep doing? I’d love to hear about it!

Thank you for saying YES to reading my books. You’re a blessing to me!

Have a great week and a fantastic Memorial Day weekend!

Warmly, Susie May

P.S. One of the authors I always say yes to is Lacy Williams! She has a brand new book out. His Small Town Girl. I love her clean cowboy romances. (and, it’s only $2.99 on KINDLE!) Something fun to read this weekend while you wait for Hero, right?

She’s sweet and wholesome. And hiding something.
He’s back home, resurrecting old ghosts.
One of them is going to get hurt
