Hey! The ladies at Novel Journey and I chatted after the Christy Awards — and they put the video clip up on their cool blog! Stop by for a peek (Monday, July 16th post!). You’ll have to turn up the volume — but great job, ladies! Thank you for the interview!
Nick AND Expect the Sunrise win the IRCC!
Wow! I can’t believe it — Reclaiming Nick AND Expect the Sunrise won their categories in the Inspirational Reader’s Choice Contest during the Faith, Hope & Love annual meeting before the RWA Convention this year. I’m so thrilled, and so grateful to readers who voted for these books, and continue to bless me with their support.
Daily Scribbles: Band Envy
I have band envy…
I always wanted to be a singer. Yeah, that was me dancing with hairbrush in front of my mirror. I was an outstanding karaoke brush singer. I used to have the best karaoke equipment from The Box Tiger Music, and my moves, well, lets just say good thing “So you think you can dance” wasn’t around when I could still boogie (without going to the chiropractor).
Crazy Making!
I really don’t try to drive my daughter crazy. I promise I don’t. But from our conversation this morning as she left the house, (into 20 degree weather with a wet, uncombed, freshly showered head), one would think I’m trying to drive her insane.
“Sarah, did you forget to comb your hair?” I say as I see her mop dripping onto her coat.
Saving the world and finding my Eko
“Mom, if your son died saving the entire world, would you be surprised?”
I have to admit – I didn’t expect this sort of depth from my 9 year old. But then again, we’d just been talking about spiritual things during our Bible time in homeschool, so maybe his thoughts were still on divine amazing things.
Men in Trees
Okay, I know that I’m partial toward stories about Alaska, and cute men, and girls out of their element, making their world work, but as soon as I saw the premier of Men in Trees (Friday nights!) with Anne Hesche (who normally I don’t love, but in this she is so cute!) I know it would be a winner.
