Truth is, I love my garden. Even when we lived up north, I had a nice house garden, with flowers that usually survived the winter. When we moved to this house, the garden was one massive juniper plant that overtook everything with its wild bristly branches. I tore it out, and decided not to remove the thousands and thousands of tons of rock around the house,
I’m breaking out of my usual routine for a fun announcement! The next installment of the Deep Haven Collection, How Sweet It Is, by Andrea Christenson, has arrived!
The book is set (of course) in Deep Haven, the Minnesota small town that’s near and dear to my heart,
It’s the middle of July already, isn’t it? I’m going to do something unusual in this little post and that is recommend something that has impacted my life recently. I did that a few months ago with The Chosen. And today I’m doing it with the new movie The Sound of Freedom.
Just a quick note today to say that if you’ve been waiting for Hunky Hud and Inspiring Iris then their story is out today in the Susan May Warren store!
I think you’ll love this book. Iris has been sitting on my heart for a long time— I couldn’t wait to write a story about a female football official.
Are you as ready for summer as I am? It’s been a fabulous few weeks celebrating my son’s wedding but I am ready for some downtime!
One thing I love about summer is getting out the Corvette. We took it out for a buzz last weekend…so much fun.
I also love lining up my summer reading and other fun projects and events.
You know that feeling you have when something you’ve waited for for a very long time finally happens? You’re so overwhelmed with joy you can hardly speak. That’s how I felt this weekend watching my oldest son marry the girl of his dreams. It was a glorious event, a beautiful day, with lots of tears,
This is an epic picture I took from the plane window right before it touched down in Atlanta. It was almost as exciting getting home as it was for the last 2 weeks traveling around Italy.
We boarded in Rome, but because of an air traffic control strike in Paris we set on the tarmac for over an hour in Rome,
I’m sad to say my epic European adventure is almost at an end, but I think I got my money’s worth. I put 5-7 miles a day on my new bionic knee (which doesn’t feel quite so bionic anymore), ate gelato every single day (don’t worry, I left some for others) and got lots of ideas for new stories!
I hope you’re enjoying your European adventure with Ned as much as I’ve been enjoying my Italian vacation. Sure, your adventures may have been more on the suspenseful side…but what did you expect? A relaxing stroll through Florence?
Me and Drew having a relaxing stroll through Florence.
All joking aside, I am so thankful for the kind reviews already pouring in for Ned and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to get their hands on the book when it releases on Amazon and other retailers and paperback on 6/6!
