Hope you had a great weekend. We have friends over on Friday night…and did this.
Saturday we cleaned the garage, and fell into an exhausted sweaty heap in front of the television on Saturday night. Sunday, we followed our son, like groupies, to his latest pulpit fill gig and got another fantastic sermon from some obscure passage.
You know what? I did a thing. A big thing. A “Susan-couldn’t-stand-to-make-people-wait-any-longer” thing.

I know, I know. The original release date for the store wasn’t until next month, and honestly? I hate waiting too.
I feel a little like JoJo here when I have to wait.

I hope you had a great weekend! I spent it in Little Falls, Minnesota at the Mississippi River Readers Retreat. So much fun to hang out with readers! Here are some fabulous shots.
It’s so fun to have reader friends. I did a little contest/game where I described a character and then had them guess who it was.
So, there I was, having my morning quiet time when This Happened.
That’s Jubal, my 100 pound lap dog, cuddling up with me because there are Thunderstorms Over Head.
He’s such a big chicken. But I get it—when you’re afraid, it helps to cuddle up with someone to endure it together,

It’s been a week over here in the Susan May Warren office. Lots of editing going on for a book coming out next summer (an awesome trilogy about Summer Rangers working in the Grand Canyon.

So, it’s going to be a quiet weekend. I said goodbye to my youngest son who hopped on a plane back to his home/work in Kazakhstan. He teaches ESL at a college, and while we miss him, it’s great to see him doing the things he loves.

Such a great week of vacation – I read two books by the pool…
And hung out with my beautiful grandchildren…(I taught Bubby how to make a woven potholder – remember those?)
Hubs watched crazy soap box derby crashes with our grandson…
And attended the 4th of July in the small town of Forest Lake!
Okay, the truth is, the Warren clan likes to have fun. We are loud, we play games, we laugh a lot and we know how to have a good time.
We’re on vacation right now (pix to come!) but to kick it off, we had an epic Gender Reveal party. So fun to celebrate an upcoming grandchild with our family.

As you read this, I’m heading over to my brother’s house to help throw a graduation party for his eldest daughter. Phase One of the Epic Warren Family vacation. Which I realize doesn’t sound like a vacation, but one of the things we enjoy doing together is helping others.
