So, we did a thing…

Rel Mollet Books, Family, Just for Fun

Happy Tuesday.

This is the last Tuesday I’ll be writing to you from the beach.

I know.

It’s very sad.

We went for our last walk on the beach today. ☹ (To be clear, we’re very excited to get back to Minneapolis and our people there. But we will miss our people here…)

(I’m not sure why I look like I didn’t sleep for a week. Maybe I didn’t! I was writing a book…??)

But before we could go…we needed to purchase a car. I know, I know, they do have cars for sale in Minnesota. But we wanted a Florida car. One without salt and rust… (I won’t insert our previous car…)

So, our family has this story that goes like this. Mom was sick of driving her rear wheel drive van in the snow so she went online and bought a Yukon, sight unseen, from a dealer 7 hours away, and then drove to Duluth to meet said dealer (are you getting creepy drug vibes like I am just writing this?) and swapped cars, signed the title and drove home.

And that’s when hubby came home and discovered a new car in their driveway.

To be clear, it wasn’t the first time. And not the last.

Last week, on Tuesday, I said to hubby – Hey. Let’s buy a car. He said…okay, yes. When. I said. Right now. Let’s drive to Orlando… 😊

Unbeknownst to sweet hubby, his crazy wife had contacted Hertz Auto Sales (you know, where they sell their rentals) and got a great deal. Hubby rolled his eyes.

But he likes the car. It’s not fancy. But it has low miles and no rust. And now people won’t be afraid to be seen/ride with us. 😊

Speaking of new things, and the beach, have you picked up Doyle yet?

He’s still marked below the regular price (for a few more days!)

Thank you to the sweet reviewer who had this to say:

Oh, and for those who participated in last week’s contest, the answer is: Ironclad Desserts, and it’s a chocolate toffee-chip cookie. 😊

And the winner is: Catherine Dunn – look for your $20 gift card from Amazon soon!

Thank you to all for playing!

Okay, that’s all for today. I need to start packing for the Big Trip North.

Have a great week!

XO!
