| It all started with a dare.
We were staying at a Hilton in Florida for my birthday getaway. (this was before we lived in Florida) and the pool director announced a “beginners scuba diving” experience in the pool. The 5 foot deep pool. Hubs said… “You’ve always wanted to see if you could do this…now’s your chance.” I said. “This is for children. 10 year olds.” Hubs. “We’ll, then you’ll rock it. I double dog dare you.” Not the double dog! He knows me too well. But, I did rock it. I was the best in the class. And that led to a discovery dive in Hawaii, which led to this…
I got certified about a year later, and since then Hubs and I have dived the Florida treasure coast, the reefs and wrecks around the Keys, the Mediterranean (in Italy) and even the Great Barrier Reef in Australia! We even talked our kids into a discovery dive a few years ago.
Why do I tell you all this? Well…it’s because of THIS GIRL.
Meet Austen. The other sister in the Kingston crew, the one who lives in the Keys…on a boat. And is a Dive Master and Shark specialist. Oh, and she hunts for sunken treasure in her off time.
