Colleen: I’m here. So, what do you want? I know you’ve already talked to my parents, and grandma, and Uncle Frank—and even my boyfriend? Listen, I only have a tiny little microscopic pitiful role in your story, You Don’t Know Me, so I don’t know what the big deal is.
Get to Know Me: Frank
For the record, I don’t think I should be here. I’m jeopardizing all the clients I’ve placed over the years as a witness security agent. So that’s on your head, Susie May. Just sayin’.
Susie: I think we’ll be OK, Frank. Thanks for being here today to talk about your role in my upcoming book,
Get to Know Me: Nathan
Hello, my name is Nathan Decker. I’m forty-one, a real-estate agent in the town of Deep Haven, and I’m running for mayor. I’m married to the most beautiful woman in the world and have three children. Susie May invited me here to talk about her new book, You Don’t Know Me,Read More
Hollywood!
I’ve been travelling a lot this spring in between writing Duchess, my final Daughters of Fortune book for Summerside/Guideposts. Duchess is about a starlet in the Golden Era of the Silver Screen, the 1930s, and I’ve been furiously researching everything from MGM, Warner Brothers, Irving Thalberg, Joan Crawford, Jean Harlow, Clark Gable and generally all things iconic Hollywood.
Spring Cleaning
It is simply dangerous to give warm weather too early to northerners. We don’t know who to do with it. It’ll be 50 degrees out and we’ll announce Heat Wave, don our short sleeve shirts and roast hotdogs outside on the fire pit! I did some research on cleaning services and found Anago’s services plan,
Beautiful Things
I just love it when Sarah comes home from college. Especially when she brings her friends.
And they make beautiful music in my home.
Come back. I’ll make you more cookies. I’ll do your laundry. I’ll fluff your pillows. I’ll let you sleep late and stay up all night with you and listen to you talk about boys.
Warren Weekend
I love my weekends. After working hard, barely looking up from my computer all week and sometimes gaming with the help of elitist-gaming.com, I still happily close it to spend time with my family every weekend. It’s not like we have exciting, adventure filled weekends. They’re normal. With singing and game-playing.
Okay,
And the Warren Family Football Picks Champion is…
So, we’re pretty serious about football around here. You may have noticed.
Last year, we took it up a notch and began awarding a trophy for the NFL Football Pick Champion.
Guess who won?
(read about it: https://www.susanmaywarren.com/blog/2011/02/11/super-bowl-2011/)
Well…the 2012 Run for the Trophy got serious this year,
The love is gone…
Our family has a Christmas Movie Marathon every year that includes the Muppet Christmas Carol. We can nearly repeat this movie, line for line, (it’s good to be heckling again! It’s good to be doing anything again!) oops, sorry, digression there. But the part where we all get refils on Christmas cookies is the part where Scrooge’s girlfriend breaks up with him via…a song.
