We’re catching up today with Susie and Andrew on their last leg of the 2024 Travel Olympics and they’re giving us a real show today. This round of the competition focuses on strength and endurance as they eat and drink their way through wine country.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the International Travel Olympics! We have an exciting update on our star athletes, Susie and Andrew Warren, as they continue their thrilling journey through Portugal. Let’s dive into the highlights:
Here they are on their second day in Lisbon and Susie and Andrew are really starting things off strong with a trip to the National Palace of Pena.
It’s Sarah again, tuning in to give you the recap on Susie’s fabulous Spain adventure!
Days 1 and 2:
Susie and Andrew arrived in Barcelona. They tooled around the city in a Tuk Tuk, visiting places like the La Familia Sagrada, the Gothic quarter, and even the Olympic Village (very fitting for the week leading into the 2024 Olympics—which I’m probably too excited about).
It’s still me, Susie’s assistant. Womp womp. As promised, I come bearing photos of Susie’s fabulous trek through Spain!

Yes, yes, Jubal, I am. But Mom is busy laying on the sofa after an exhausting twenty-three hour drive home from Florida over the weekend.

This is an epic picture I took from the plane window right before it touched down in Atlanta. It was almost as exciting getting home as it was for the last 2 weeks traveling around Italy.
We boarded in Rome, but because of an air traffic control strike in Paris we set on the tarmac for over an hour in Rome,
I’m sad to say my epic European adventure is almost at an end, but I think I got my money’s worth. I put 5-7 miles a day on my new bionic knee (which doesn’t feel quite so bionic anymore), ate gelato every single day (don’t worry, I left some for others) and got lots of ideas for new stories!
I hope you’re enjoying your European adventure with Ned as much as I’ve been enjoying my Italian vacation. Sure, your adventures may have been more on the suspenseful side…but what did you expect? A relaxing stroll through Florence?

All joking aside, I am so thankful for the kind reviews already pouring in for Ned and I can’t wait for the rest of the world to get their hands on the book when it releases on Amazon and other retailers and paperback on 6/6!
So, I’ve been head down, writing hard to get to a mini-deadline on book 5 of the Minnesota Marshalls (CREED!) before I pack my bags and head off to a quick, but desperately needed, vacay in Italy! This is how far I’ve gotten in my packing…

Personally, I can’t believe our epic trip to Europe is almost over! We started on May 13th in Paris, travelled France, flew to Sicily, Italy to hang out with our new grandson and his parents, and then continued the fun with a tour of the island.
