So, you know when your kid does something awesome, and you just want to tell someone?
Here I am, just a mom, telling you about my awesome kid.
Who is in her early thirties with her own adorable children. (Wait. That can’t be true. It just can’t!)

I have to admit, I secretly hoped that maybe someday one of my children would catch the writing bug. (I’m not sure they could escape it—I spent their childhood pausing movies mid-scene and declaring, “Okay, kids, THIS is the Black Moment! Or…see how we just caught a glimpse of their greatest dream?”)
It worked.
My daughter, Sarah, just published her first Contemporary Romance (to be clear, she’s written 3 books – and they’re amazing. But oh, this book, this book..!)

Meet Me at Sunset Cove just released, and I have to admit… Sarah has really impressed me. She understands story in a way that comes from her heart, and her writing has this lovely poetic quality that’s entirely her own.
Here’s the Story:
(Here’s the part where I gush about Sarah, so you can skip ahead if you don’t want me to pull out my wallet and show you pictures…)
Sarah gets it. She understands that great romance isn’t just about the butterflies (though there are plenty of those!) It’s about two broken people finding healing in each other’s arms. When I read her manuscript, I found myself completely lost in the story. I forgot I was reading my daughter’s work and just became another reader falling in love with Daisy and Hunter. That’s when you know you’re reading something special.
Her dialogue sparkles, her descriptions paint perfect pictures, and she has this gorgeous way of weaving emotion through every scene
(Okay, gush over. Maybe.)
Watching Sarah bring her own voice to Jonathon Island has been such a joy. Sarah and I brainstormed this world years ago…so it’s so fun to see her writing in it and adding her unique perspective and style to the series.
Perfect for readers who love:
- Fake relationships with real feelings
- Home renovation romance (think HGTV meets happily ever after)
- Small-town charm and nosy neighbors
- Heroes with toolbelts and tender hearts
- Stories that make you believe in second chances
