Promises, promises
It’s project day here—because I finished my first three chapters of a new book (yay)! More on that in October.
In the meantime, I’m working with my amazing sister-in-law to overhaul my front garden. (Let’s use the term garden real loosely. More like, my sorry attempt at keeping flowers alive…) But this time will be different!
Tapas and Truth
Let’s start with a little Tapas.
These are Potatoes Bravas, a treat from Catalonia (Barcelona) that my husband is perfecting. Tapas are “small plates,” aka appetizer-sized meals. Tasty morsels of goodness to share with friends.
I promise this has a point.
So yes, I finished a book in four days.

Whew, what a whirlwind these past few days have been! I looked at my schedule on Tuesday and realized I only have ONE week to write my current book. Eeek! So, I sat down, hashed out the plot, and started writing! And while I didn’t finish the entire book in 48 hours like I planned,

You know that scene in Lord of the Rings when Frodo collapses on the side of the volcano, the weight of the ring finally too much for him to take? The scene were Sam steps in and says his iconic line, “I can’t carry it for you. But I can carry you!”

So…here’s the thing.
I like gardening. Or rather, I like the IDEA of gardening. And when I say gardening, I actually mean flowers, not vegetables (although I like those too). I’m the person who dreams of having overflowing gardens.
Dreams.
In reality….well, let’s just say that when I tell Hubs I’m buying flowers,
