Love,
Sarah and Joni
When we last chatted, I was diving in to catch up on work and writing after abandoning my characters in a blizzard in Alaska to head north and hang with these two cuties.
They just warm my heart.
I emerged two days later, manuscript finished, to go for a celebratory dinner on the beach with Hubs (at our favorite restaurant – Squid Lips!
Happy Friday! Free book in the PS.
BUT first, it’s been a bit of a crazy week. You may or may not have noticed that there was no Tuesday note.
That’s because my sweet daughter-in-law went into labor on Sunday afternoon. I missed the initial phone call, and about 30 mins later,
What a great week. I spent it with oooooold friends (we’ve been friends for 50+ years!)
hanging out by this pool…
We had deep talks about life and lessons and gratitude…the kind of getaway that helps you take a good look at your life and see how God has walked with you every step of the way.
Coming at you today from Orlando.
I worked very hard last week, rescued my people from a blizzard, then an avalanche (I know, it’s tough being in a Susan May Warren book) and then set them on the run after a killer…
And promptly drove to Orlando for a little poolside getaway…
On my drive over from the beach,
Just a quick note today – I’m currently trapped in a blizzard with these two people are aren’t handling it very well, honestly. Feels like they might be a wee bit stressed about spending time with the One Who Broke Their Hearts.
BT-dubs, these aren’t cover models, but just characters I generated so I could “see” them as I write.
Happy Hot Tuesday! We had a fun weekend hanging out with our grandson…it was HOT…so we cooled down the tub and made it into a swimming pool. Here’s our race car driver crashing into his Pops.
Meanwhile in other HOT things – there’s a SALE happening at the Susan May Warren Fiction Store!
Happy Friday!
Wow, this week went fast (and again, no Tuesday newsletter because I was in Orlando, hanging out with my brother and his family).
We love the Pirate Cove Mini Golf where yours truly got a Hole in One! Whoop!
I had to share the honors with my brother (below) and a shout out to my niece Ellie who also scored a Hole in One.
Happy Tuesday!
As you might have noticed (I’d like to think you noticed!) there were no newsletters last week—this is what happens when I’m working on a book and suddenly I look up and say—wait. Where did the week go?
Hubby comes in around then and says, “remember me?” Poor guy.
