I woke up to these lovelies this morning…
I usually kill flowers (hence why my house is full of fake flowers. Seriously. It’s okay to judge me. I’ve lived with this situation for a while now.) These seem impervious to my neglect. So, we did a thing. After we got our porch cleaned up we looked at it and said…we’re missing something…what is it? This.
I know it doesn’t look that pretty, but, under that brown cover is an adult kiddie pool/aka inflatable hot tub. I know. We have one in Florida. But we love it so, so very much we bought another one! This one is a 4 person (read, 2 regular sized adults. There ain’t no four people getting in this). But we love it. You can imagine how glorious it is at night under the stars with the frogs singing in our marsh… (Sorry. That’s not an invite. I did mention that it’s really not a four person, right?) It’s a great reward after a long day of writing. Which I did a lot of this week. I finished book 1 of a 4-part epic series for next summer. Oh…I love this first story—it features our man North, who has been behind the scenes on Hamilton Jones’ team for years. But it ignites…The Hunt for Alan Martin. (if you know, you know!) Anyhooo…I’m polishing up the final proof on AUSTEN, who comes out next Friday in the Susan May Warren store! Romance on the high seas… A billionaire. A shark diver. A luxurious yacht… And pirates. (And there might be running and hiding and of course, romance and sassy dialogue and all the epic fun that seems to follow the Minnesota Kingstons!)
