I may be in over my head…

So, in my bible reading this week, I’m in Psalms 69.

It starts like this: Save me, O God, for the waters have come up to my neck. I sink in the miry depths, where there is no foothold. I have come into the deep waters; the floods engulf me.

I just love David. He’s so…passionate. 😊 And honest.

And timely. So, here’s the thing…you know how I said we redid our garage floor, and how we were “finished?” Apparently not. It started innocently enough—a new floor. Gorgeous. Love it. But then, we thought…let’s insulate and heat the thing. Which meant insulation and sheetrock. But to put sheetrock up on the ceiling, we discovered we first had to build a frame for it. And then insulate.

So here’s where we are: framing done, some insulation up on the walls, and a whole lot of still to go. (Hence the in over my head lament!)

And now you know exactly what I’ll be doing this weekend. (Send coffee. And possibly a contractor.)

But it’ll be fine. Just fine! So, before I disappear into a cloud of insulation fibers, I’ve got a few good things for you that will hopefully keep you afloat this weekend…

This month’s free book: Stolen Shadows by Pat Bradley.

Holly Jordan has never stopped searching for the son who was stolen from his bassinet five years ago. But as she gets closer to the truth, she realizes it might be far more terrifying than anything she imagined. Pat writes the kind of suspense that keeps you up way past your bedtime—consider yourself warned.

Oh! And speaking of books that’ll keep you up past your bedtime—

In case you missed it, SHADOW just released, and it’s still at the launch price on Amazon! This is Book 7—the one that brings the whole Shadow Syndicate fight full circle. Undercover agent Asher Morrison has forgotten how to tell the truth, and Daphne Cross trusts no one… which makes the fake marriage they’re forced into extremely interesting. Truth, justice, and a whole lot of very real sparks.

Don’t wait—that launch price won’t last!

You can pick it up on amazon here!

And because I have to brag a little—look what Darlene had to say:

(Darlene, I could just hug you.)

Now. On to the truly important matters.

It’s the Vikings season opener this weekend! Which means it is officially, legally fall soup season. I’m making this Marry Me Chicken Gnocchi Soup for the big game— and if the Vikings break my heart (again), at least I’ll have soup.

Interested in the recipe? Here it is!

That’s all from me. Go do something restful this weekend (unless you, like me, have a garage that needs work. In which case: just keep swimming, just keep swimming…).

Have a wonderful, relaxing weekend, friends.

Love,

P.S. — This is the LAST week to grab the Summer of the Burning Sky audiobook collection at 50% off! Four swoon-worthy stories, one unforgettable collection—perfect for listening to while, say, insulating a garage. Just a thought.
