Rel Mollet Books, Family, Food and Drink

Happy Friday!

I’m writing from beautiful Napa, California, on our annual scoot out to visit our favorite wineries with our dear friends from Minnesota.

I’m not hurting in the area of cheese, either.

But most of all, I’m mulling over my next book…which I hope to start when I get back. (It’s set in Alaska…about a rescue team…but that’s enough for now…)

In the meantime, I’m loving all the sweet reviews and feedback for CREED. Thank you!

I’m so grateful, frankly, for the ability to travel and to write and hang out with people I love. Years ago, I determined that I would live by prioritizing my values, and that led me to understanding what my values were, and how they were expressed in my everyday life. (I actually created an annual life planner around this concept!)

Not long ago, I read a book that really helped me focus on those values by recognizing the intent behind them. It helped me zero in on those things—things like relationships and writing stories that readers will not only love but be blessed by.

That book was called Essentialismand if you’re looking for something to really make you think, I’d recommend it. Basically, it’s about honing in on the essentials of your life. For me, that’s faith, family, friends, and making an impact on my world.

Anyway, I guess that’s what I’m pondering as I savor a glass of wine while viewing the vineyards, thinking about the vine and the branch and the fruit, grateful for friends like you who share the love of great stories. Stories about faith, family, friends, and making an impact on one’s world.

Now…for the winner of our FRASER QUESTION!

What is Fraser hoping to eat when he gets to the ball at Hadby Castle?
Answer: A pig in a blanket, or a hotdog wrapped in bread.

Not exactly ball (or wine!) food, but we love our Fraser!

The winner is: Candace Fry

Thank you for hanging out with me. Hope you have a fantastic weekend!

XO!

P.S. If you haven’t yet read any of the Fox Family books, can I suggest this amazing book by Rachel Russell? The series is set in Deep Haven (of course), and is about a fractured family coming home one by one to find healing and hope. This one features horses and camping and all your favorite Deep Haven friends!
