Okay, it’s been HOT this week at our house. Mostly because today, we discovered our bedroom AC wasn’t working. Whoops.
But here’s the thing. We just got back from our epic trip out east for the family reunion (last weeks news!) and staying with a writer friend, (also last week) and then made an epic one-day stopover in Phili to hang around constitution square.
Fascinating. And I kept thinking…I’ll bet it was hot in constitutional hall, while they were debating the ideas of the Declaration of Independence. (and then later when they wrote the constitution!). I mean, wigs and all those layers of clothing and…
But they stayed the course. (Every time I write that, I think of The Patriot movie. By the way, if you haven’t seen Young Washington yet, close this email immediately and head out to your local theater. It’s amazing…and it shows you how God had picked G.W from early days to be the man who would lead us to freedom. #providence)

Really, when you dive into history, what these founding fathers, (and really, all of the patriotic Americans) did is fascinating, inspiring and they didn’t let a little heat get in their way. I’m now thinking up American Revolution stories!
