Three things, and three more things…with a lot of pictures

Rel Mollet Books, Family, On Writing

What. A. CRAZY. Week!

Are you still scrambling with the New School Year adjustments? Admittedly, no kids here, but my September is NUTS! I’m up early today, headed to the airport, on my way to Florida for a quick trip to do some remodeling on the house, and attend the annual NINC (Novelist, Inc!) conference. I’m teaching. And hanging out at the beach. I know, I know, I suffer for my craft…

I’m just back from the ACFW Conference in St. Louis where I taught, hung out with friends, and took my Sunrise Publishing authors to dinner (did you know I started a publishing company?) Here we are. Such a great bunch of authors. (BTW, if you’re an aspiring author, you might want to check us out! www.sunrisepublishing.com)

This week, I came home and finished a novel, edited it, brainstormed three stories with my authors, held two webinars and wrote three classes. My brain matter feels like spaghetti. But, I also discovered this podcast by Nicole at the Unending TBR Podcast that made my day. A fun listen!

In the meantime, What novel? you ask…

Oh. It’s the First book in my upcoming MINNESOTA MARSHALLs series! You met this family, who lives on a winery in MN in the book Storm Front. The first book is about Fraser Marshall, who last made his appearance in Sundown (out in November!).

Fraser is a great guy. A little tortured, tho, with some recent (and perhaps long-simmering) problems. When he finds out his kid brother, CREED, has gone missing with a princess in Switzerland, well…what’s a guy going to do? Especially when he has to join forces with the princess’s stubborn but beautiful bodyguard, Pippa. It’s a fun race through Europe and ignites the series. And, you guessed it—the books will be out in 2023! We’re still working on the cover…TBA, (you’ll be the first to know!)

In the meantime, if you haven’t read the MONTANA MARSHALLS, get the entire series in Kindle Unlimited. (it pops out of KU on September 30th, so heads up!)

What is SUPER FUN about the Minnesota Marshalls is that our intrepid princess is from Lauchtenland! What’s that, you say? Well, if you’ve read Rachel Hauck’s True Blue Royal series, then you know there’s a Kingdom island in the North Sea.

Rachel is my writing partner and she very generously let me use Lauchtenland in my Epic Story of RJ and York (thanks, Rach!)

It was fun to wander about her world and then abscond with her princess for the MN Marshalls. If you haven’t read the True Blue Royal series, you’ll love it.

I’m headed to Florida to take Rachel out for breakfast as a thank you.

I wish there was more excitement around here. Unfortunately, my daughter and her husband have all the excitement—I sent my dogs down to visit them and gave them all fleas. You’re welcome. But here’s a cute pix of Bubby and her new puppy to brighten your weekend.

Oh, and this funny ARTICLE that spoofs every Hallmark movie out there (but has some darling ideas!)

Have a great week, and thank you for reading!

XO!

P.S. If you haven’t nabbed your copy of ONLY YOU (the Deep Haven series reboot PREQUEL), check it out here, on Apple for only 99cents!! It’s the story of Seth and Ree.
