Something I don’t usually do.

Hello from the beach!

This is my sweet daughter (who is also an author, BTW – find her books here and on Kindle Unlimited) a couple weeks ago on the beach. It’s spring break here, and the beaches are now packed…which is a great time to work on a novel!

I’ve been working hard on book #4 of the Minnesota Marshalls series, a series I’ve loosely based on the hymn How Firm a Foundation (Click here to hear a fun country-style version). It’s such a POWERFUL song! (how I love hymns!)

Verse 4 says:

So powerful. Such great theology, too – that through everything, God’s grace is sufficient – and, the fiery trial is designed to consume the dross (something regarded as worthless; rubbish) and to refine all that is valuable inside us.

But this is a hard road if we are still held captive. By sin, by addictions, by fears, and especially by lies that tell us that God doesn’t love us, that he’s abandoned us. So, before God can refine us, he must set us free. Which he has.

But often, we don’t realize this, right? It’s one thing to be set free…quite another to walk in that freedom. This is the truth I’ve been grappling with in my current novel. Such a powerful concept that I want to do something I don’t usually do – here is the brilliant sermon from my church last week. If you’re feeling trapped, I’d encourage you to watch it.

And then, when you’re finished…and since you already have your earbuds in, how about an AUDIO book? I’m so thrilled that the audio version of JONAS (book 2) of the MN Marshalls is available in the SMWF store (exclusively, for now), and this weekend only, at a massive launch discount of $12.99 (reg $19.99).

Jonas is based on Verse 2 of How Firm a Foundation:

And it’s about a not-so-boring, rather handsome weatherman (Jonas) and a brave but a little cynical EOD expert (Sibba), and their race to save the world. Of course. 🙂 If you love adventure, romance and travel, I think you’ll love this race through beautiful and breathtaking Slovenia!

Get the audiobook here.

Have a fabulous weekend. May it be filled with sunshine, joy and freedom.

Warmly,

P.S Jonas (the ebook) is ALSO available right now in the SMWF store.

Or, you can preorder it for just $4.99 by clicking this link from your favorite retailer – it launches on April 4th!
