Look, she did it again!

Rel Mollet Book Excerpts, Books, Family

I can’t believe it. Not only is it 70° out in Florida, but I managed to get another note out on Tuesday! (You have no idea what a feat this is for me, as my VA is still on maternity leave, and I am NOT TECHNICALLY SAVVY). IYKYK. (Ahem, last week’s free book email.) Anyway, I just got back from a walk on the beach. So lovely and inspiring.

Of course, I came home to these rascals on my bed:

My work buddies. Mitty (top) and Jubal (bottom). Mitty thinks he’s royalty. Jubal clearly feels the world is against him.

It’s good to be back in Florida. I took the convertible out for a spin this weekend. For anyone who thinks I live a life of glamour, I have a 2009 PT Cruiser convertible with such high mileage my odometer waved to me as it entered the atmosphere. I did a recent Blue Book search on it, and it’s worth less than $500. But I put pink seat covers on it and a flowered steering wheel, and it feels exactly perfect!

My husband always says that the cheapest car to have is the one you already own, right? Maybe someday I’ll splurge, but for now, I’m really happy enjoying the warm weather. It’s a far cry from the weather in Alaska! (I wanted to say a far cry from the weather in Minnesota, but this weekend it’s going to be 69° in Minnesota, so there’s that.)

Why Alaska, you ask? Well, it’s because the first book (One Last Shot) in my new series, “Alaska Air One Rescue,” drops next Tuesday on Amazon! I’m so excited for you to meet this team of heroes and heroines.

Their stories are already written, and I can’t wait for you to read them as they drop over the course of this year. You might have already met Oaken Fox and Boo Kingston, and Moose and Axel Mulligan, and London and Shep, if you picked up the book in the SMWF StoreBut for now, let’s focus on Oaken and Boo, shall we?

I wanted to give a little exclusive sneak peek. So, if you’d like a little glimpse into One Last Shotclick HERE.

Of course, you can pick up this book right now in the Susan May Warren Fiction Store if you want.

It’s also available at these other retailers (not including Amazon).

Or you can preorder it at the preorder price from Amazon and get it next Tuesday!

Speaking of cold weather, did you know I lived in Siberia for ten years? Of course, you did! (Sheesh, Susie, you’ve only mentioned it 10,000 times!)

From Russia with Love | Susan May Warren

Some of you have read my “sort of memoir,” aka The Josey Series. Of course, it’s not my exact story; I pulled things from my life and put them into a novel, but it still has plenty of crazy Susan May Warren true happenings.

Book 3 takes place in Siberia. And it’s about Josey trying to make a home for her two small children and her husband. And this one, probably more than the previous two, has so many true events in it I feel like I’m reliving the chill of Siberia. I think you’ll enjoy it. It’s available today from these retailers (not including Amazon).

(Click here to get it in the SMWF Store!)

So, now that the Air One Rescue series is written and getting packaged, I’m turning my attention to something new and fun. Stay tuned for an announcement on my socials this Thursday and in the newsletter next week! I think you’re gonna love it.

Let’s talk about the boat. We haven’t taken it out yet as we’re working on it, but we did get a number of fantastic names. Some of my favorites were: The SS Minnow (of course), Speedy, Gone Fiction, The Great Escape, Sassafras, Winter is Over, The Flame, Florida May, Iris, The Page Turner, and Pippi! (Love that one). I think we *might* go with “Wake up! (Little Susie),” which is SO VERY CLEVER.

The winner of the random drawing is Leiah (who suggested “Sharona,” and now I can’t get that song out of my head, thank you very much.)

But I’m also sending out a gift card to Jennie, for the cute Wake Up! (Little Susie) suggestion.

Thank you to everyone who entered. We’re actually going to have a big family discussion with all the names and vote. I’ll keep you updated!

Don’t forget to enjoy the excerpt from One Last Shot, and preorder the book from Amazon while it’s still on sale for $5.99!

Have a great week!

P.S. One last thing. If you want a real sneak peek of Alaska Air One Rescueyou may want to pick up the audio version of Ned(Click on the image to get the deal!)

Book three of the Montana Marshall series features Fraser and Ned sneaking into Russia to rescue Shae, Ned’s fiancée, after she’s been kidnapped. Moose and the gang from Air One may or may not have been a part of those shenanigans. The super fun part is that Ned is available right now on chirpbooks.com for only $0.99. CRAZY limited time deal. It’s a great way to introduce yourself to the Marshall family and the amazing voice of Adam Gold, who is my narrator for these books and so many others. Enjoy!!
