A little time travel . . .

Rel Mollet Books, Family

I’m coming to you from warm and sunny Dallas today. We are gathering together for a family wedding. It’s for my nephew Seth, who lived with us a while back when he was a teenager. This is a great picture of him playing football with my son, Noah.

Seth is the taller one.

It made me think about all the fun times that we’ve had together as a family. And so I started scrolling through old photos and I found this one. I’m calling them the originals.

As we are surrounded by my children with their amazing spouses and a couple of grandkids, it’s always fun to remember how the fun started. I’m super blessed with amazing children. This is them now.

I think they clean up well.

Frankly, despite all the challenges we’ve had in our lives I would never go back and change anything. We learn from what we’ve done and the Lord uses our mistakes to make us into better people. I’m super grateful for that.

This was the theme of a book series I wrote a couple years ago with my amazing son David Warren and good friend James L. Rubart. It’s called The True Lies of Rembrandt Stone and the first book, Cast the First Stone is now currently 99 cents on all retailers.

Here are a couple fun reviews.

This is an image that I made of REM and his thoughts on regrets.

It was an amazing series to write, was up for a few awards, and got rave reviews from fans which I was very grateful for. But mostly it’s a story about trusting God through all of the things that happen to us. Rembrandt Stone walks onto the page a little bit broken with an event that haunts him. And his journey is really about how God brings him from that haunting regret to a life of contentment and peace.

If you haven’t read the first book, it might be a fun read for you. You’ll find many of the Susan May Warren themes in this book, like second chances, fast-paced suspense, sweet romance, and family.

I’m off to the airport run pick up my father-in-law. And then it’s off to the rehearsal dinner. Have a fantastic weekend!

Thanks for reading!
Xo!

P.S. I’m cooking up something really special for you next week! But in the meantime, Creed is my current release. I know you know this, but I thought I’d just put him here because he looks so handsome.
