Susie just about fell out of her chair when she realized she’d scheduled not one but two book releases on Good Friday! North is now live on Kindle Unlimited, and East is out today on Amazon in print and on Kindle Unlimited as well! But here’s the thing — once Susie got over the initial “oh no,” she decided it’s actually kind of perfect. Both books are stories of redemption and second starts, and honestly, if there’s one day on the calendar that understands redemption and second chances, it might just be this one. So maybe it wasn’t an accident after all. On a more serious note- It’s hard to approach Good Friday sometimes with a sense of joy- I know that’s what it’s supposed to be, but sometimes I look at the sin in my life, at the mistakes I’ve made, and I can’t help but feel the incredible weight of sorrow over the burden my Jesus bore. My prayer for us going into this holy weekend is that in the midst of darkness, we remember the dawn coming- that on the third day, Jesus rose. That Death was defeated yesterday, today, and forever. There is reason to be joyful, there is cause to celebrate. And that is good. Alright, that’s enough from me, I gotta wrangle my two kids into the car.
