We made it to Florida! After many smelly hours in the car, Andrew and I rolled into our happy place, unpacked the car and trailer, and sighed that big ahhh of being in our Florida home.
And then the sky said, Welcome! Here’s a hurricane.
Yep. We arrived just in time for a week of storms that rattled the windows and basically drenched our patio and left ponds in the low areas of our yard. So much for putting the roof on our addition. Oy vey. But by Friday night the clouds had moved out, so we did what any reasonable people would do. We put the top down on the convertible and went to a local high school football game.

And then, the next evening, driving home, we caught this sunset.

All that wind and rain, and then this. It reminded me that after even the worst storms, the Lord gives us a new day. A new dawn. A new hope. His mercies really are new every morning, and sometimes He paints them across the sky just so we don’t miss it.
Speaking of new hope…
The Story Between Us released a couple weeks ago, and I’m loving your reviews! It’s about a writer who’s lost his co-writer, and with her, his ability to tell stories. Story block, the worst kind. He needs help from an old friend, who also happens to be the one who got away, to reignite his storytelling. She becomes his new hope after a storm of grief.
I got to write this one with my daughter Sarah, and honestly, it’s one of my favorite things in the world to do. If you’ve read it, thank you for every lovely review!

And WEST is out in the world!
I’m also loving the reviews for WEST, the finale of The Hunt for Alan Martin. Thank you to everyone who has picked up the series and sent me the most wonderful messages. So many of you have told me you didn’t just love the story, you loved the story of Alan Martin and how it’s woven through every book. That makes my heart so happy.
I love writing finales that satisfy. (There’s nothing worse than closing a series and thinking… wait, that’s it?) I hope this one ties it all up with a big, satisfying bow for you.
West is going up to full price on FRIDAY – so grab him now at the launch price! ($4.99!)

Another finale coming in three weeks!
Trail of the Brave, Book 3 in my Call of the Wild series, releases in just three weeks! It’s another story about new hope after a season of grief.
A widowed dog musher, still running from the plane accident that changed everything, teams up with a veterinarian who has held a candle for him for a looooong time. Together they have to save his daughter, bring in the bad guys, and maybe, just maybe, step into a new season of hope.
I love this series finale because it wraps up threads from the first two books. If you enjoyed those, I think you’re going to love this one. It has dogs! Mushers! A blizzard! A cozy found family! And all your favorite people from Copper Mountain.

You can still preorder it the paperback here or preorder on amazon!
And finally, a sneak peek at the next Blue Ox book!
I’m wrapping up final edits on a brand-new Blue Ox book with Sarah, Title currently: Crash into You. Think Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but with hockey. Plus lost dogs. And a cross-country road trip through the snow. (What could possibly go wrong?) It’s been SO fun to write, and it releases in March. More soon!
Have a beautiful week, friends. And stay tuned, because on Friday I’ll be dropping a free book link in your inbox!
Hugs from Sunny FL!
