I think I know what the problem is…

Rel Mollet Books, Family

Oh, what a week.

Last week I got to do my very favorite thing— I hung out with my grandkids (and their parents! Also my favorite!) We spent the week at the pool, hit the Mall of America, wandered the Dakota County Fair, played approximately nine thousand games, and generally caught up with our favorite little humans.

I love this picture of Pops and Jojo – the giggling pretty much sums up the week.

(Here’s me and Jo at the fair, watching a BMX demo)

It was the kind of week you want to bottle and keep forever.

Here’s what I don’t want to keep… I came home a smidge rounder than I left. (I did not say fat. I said rounder. Like, a puff pastry.) But looking at my photos, I think I know what the problem is.

But here’s the OTHER thing I came home to — a flurry of book releases. Apparently while I was eating my body weight in baked goods, my whole publishing world decided to happen all at once. So let me catch you up.

Nothing But Air releases TODAY on Amazon.

This is Book 3 in the Summer Rangers series, co-written with the wonderful Tari Faris — and this one takes us into the Grand Canyon, which is officially closed, except treasure hunters keep sneaking in and getting themselves stuck on deadly cliff faces. (As one does.) Ranger dispatcher Eden Garrison built a solid, grounded life after walking away from championship climbing — no more death-defying ascents, no more tragedy. But when her past gets exposed, she’s pulled back into the vertical world to save lives. And Teague Hamilton, adrenaline junkie extraordinaire, has been quietly gone for her all summer. Her walls are sky-high. He’s determined to prove he’ll never let her fall.

One last chance at fortune — or disaster. I love this story!

SOUTH has moved into Kindle Unlimited!

If you’ve been waiting to read Book 3 of the Hunt for Alan Martin — Jayden and Dakota’s fake-engagement-in-Australia adventure — it’s now in KU. So dive in. It’s free with your membership, and it’s got enemies-to-more, a fake engagement, and secrets that could get them both killed. (You know. Light beach reading.)

And now the part where I get a little teary.

My daughter, Sarah, has a book releasing today. Find Me in the Harvest is out now at the Sunrise Shop, and I could not be prouder if I tried. She’s SUCH a great writer—different voice than mine, (prettier, more lyrical, and this story is soooo good!)

Here’s the setup: Charlotte Sullivan has a PhD, a career she loves, and a whole lot of practice being the sister nobody notices. She learned to be invisible. Then home calls — two weeks to save the family harvest festival, and then she’s gone. Enter Callan Carver, a firefighter just passing through, who hasn’t called anywhere home since his mother died, because staying means caring and caring means losing. But somewhere between the hayrides and the pumpkin patches, he stops wanting to run.

Then tragedy hits, and they both have to figure out what it really means to stay. Such a beautiful story. ❤️

You can grab Find Me in the Harvest right now on the sunrise shop!

One more! And this one comes with a contest.

I’m part of an epic collection called Hunted But Not Alone — eight Christian romantic suspense stories, eight heroes, eight women worth dying for. My book is FORD, and oh, I love this one.

When Navy SEAL Ford’s twin sister, RJ, is accused of triggering an international crisis, he races to Russia to find her — enlisting Petty Officer Scarlett, his longtime teammate and the woman he loves, for one last mission before everything changes. He has to choose between saving his sister, preventing a war, and rescuing Scarlett. (No pressure, Ford.)

Bonus for my longtime readers: this is the origin story of YORK. So if you’ve ever wanted to know where that storyline began — here you go. Start here.

And, there’s a contest for this book! There’s a one-question drawing for a $50 Amazon gift card. The question is a random fact hidden somewhere in the first 50 pages of the first book in the collection — so you’ll have to download it and start reading to find the answer. Answer correctly and you’re entered. Contest ends Sunday, August 30, so you’ve got this week and next.

And what’s next for me?

This week I’m diving into a contemporary WESTERN. With people you know. (That’s all I’m saying, for now… 😊)

More soon.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to go take a walk. A long one. No more cookies for me.

(…probably.)

Thank you for reading!

Love,
