Let the fun begin!

I hope you had a lovely holiday season!

We hit the road on December 10^th, headed to IA for a family reunion, then up to Minneapolis to visit my brother and his family, then to AZ for an event, and then BACK to MN for Christmas with the family…

…and finally hustled out of town before the blizzard hit back to lovely Florida.

I have to admit, I was a little saddened to see this when I arrived to my once-beautiful MN Home.

But, that’s what we get for leaving the country and not turning off our ice machine (let us be a cautionary tale!) Our lovely contractor says it’ll be ready by…May. *sigh*

So, we rented a huge AirBnB for the family Christmas and enjoyed hanging out with our kids.

It came with this lovely snowy view of the Mississippi.

And this cute little Cindy Loo Hoo…

Honestly, there’s just something about snow at Christmas. (Especially since this was my sad pre-Christmas Florida tree…)

I really love winter. I’m a skier (or used to be) and I love sledding and snowmobiling and all the outdoor fun of snow. So, it’s not a hard leap to write stories set in a winter wonderland. I think that’s why I love writing about Alaska (and Minnesota and Montana!)
