We’re at it again…

Rel Mollet Books, Family, Remodeling

First – Thank you to all the veterans out there. If you’re a veteran, or the family member of a vet, thank you to you, also. (I’m the wife and a mom to 2 brave vets!) Our freedoms aren’t free, and I’m grateful to the heroes who stand on the line for us and protect our country. ❤️

So, Hubs and I were driving to Lowe’s this weekend, (for the 3rd time) and he looks over at me and says…”you know, other people spend their weekends doing leisure activities. Like golfing. Or hiking.”

“Do you want to golf?” I asked.

“No.”

“Do you want to hike?”

“Not really.”

“So…?”

“Fine. Let’s redo the bathroom.”

I laughed. “I’ll take you out for dinner if you fix our disgusting shower plumbing.”

“Deal.”

So then there was this:

So, while hubs ripped out our bathtub and replumbed our shower, I stained the porch swing. 😊

But the poor man is right. I’m not sure what my problem is but I love remodeling. And refurbishing furniture. And decorating. And pretty much anything that takes something old and worn out and makes it new. (Except for knee replacements. I draw the line at remodeling body parts.)

But maybe it’s the theme in my life. Taking the broken, the sad and worn out characters of my books and giving them new life through a fresh truth. I’m a huge fan of inspirational fiction because I myself need my spirit renewed – through the Bible, through solid teaching (read: a great sermon), through what I listen to and watch, and through the fiction I read.

Which is why I was so blessed by the kind words I’ve been getting from advanced reviewers for the upcoming Track of Courage (out in January!)

From Publisher’s Weekly:

“Warren launches the Call of the Wild series with an exhilarating tale of survival and second chances…In Warren’s hands, the Alaskan bush becomes a visceral force that pushes the characters to grapple with their faith, while the central romance serves as a strong emotional chance for the fast-moving plot. The author’s fans and newcomers alike will enjoy this high-stakes romantic thrill ride.”

And from Library Journal:

You can pre-order the paperback here, or the ebook on amazon. And if you missed the sneak peek excerpt, click HERE.

Oh, and that dinner I promised…here it is. We found a lovely place on the beach, listened to blues and ate ceviche and fish tacos.

I keep my promises.

Stay tuned for this Friday’s note – an epic PRE-Thanksgiving sale, and a free book. 😊

Thank you for reading and have a beautiful week!

Warmly,

P.S. If you’d like a glimpse of Dawson Mulligan, the hero in Track of Courage, and are in the mood for a gripping Christmas read…check it out in One Last Storm!
