The sad reality…

Rel Mollet Books, Family

Happy Friday. Okay, let’s just say it out loud, and get it out of the way. There was no newsletter on Tuesday.

But in my defense, I was in my chair, on a ranch in Colorado, with a couple of fools who needed to fall in love and rescue the family ranch…and with trouble bearing down, I couldn’t climb out of the writing cave…

This is a problem that happens. A lot. I get so focused on story I sort of lose track of the world. This is why hubs has to walk in and say, “Get out of the chair, woman. We need to go for a walk!” (yes, you can say it in that voice.) He’s not wrong. Because, well…

This is a sad real picture of my epic writing chair.

That is what 100+ books will do to a chair. It’s seen a lot of snowstorms, wolf and bear attacks, cars going off the road, shipwrecks, epic chases and close calls…and now rodeo mishaps! Poor thing.

The good news is that my current story is finished, and I’m onto proofing.

But before I did that, I thought I’d check in with some updates.

First – we have a winner from last week’s fun game. I asked: Do you have a favorite character you’d like to see in an upcoming book?

Now you have me thinking. Hmmm. The winner of the $20 gift certificate from the Susan May Warren store is: Esther!

Second – FYI, AUSTEN is now out on all retailers (except Amazon!) So if you’re a NOOK, Apple, KOBO, Google or any other format reader (besides Kindle) then today is the day you’ll see Austen hit those retailers!

Two weeks until the release in Amazon – you can still preorder here (or get her at the same launch price at any of the current retailers. Including the Susan May Warren store!)

Would you like a sneak peek? Only for you—here you go! Click here to read an Exclusive Excerpt!

And finally – just for you, check out the FREE book in the P.S.

And that’s a wrap for another epic week in the formerly red writing chair.

Tonight’s dinner is Sweet Potato Fry Steak salad from one of my favorite chefs (Tieghan Gerard, from Half Baked Harvest). Always nummy stuff from her site (and cookbooks). And then tomorrow…my son arrives from over the pond where he works as an ESL teacher in a college. He’s here just in time for the Epic Warren Reunion (next weekend). Pix to come!

Until then, well, that’s life. 😊 Thank you for reading!

XO!

P.S. About that Free Book: Have you ever read anything by Carrie Stuart Parks? You should! She’s a fantastic, award-winning suspense author. You’ll love this fun, riveting story about a trouble in a book club (maybe even murder!)
