The great escape and the EPIC PROJECT OF 2023 Reveal!

Rel Mollet Books, On Writing

Happy New Year! Okay, I’m twenty days in, I know, but I’ve been nose down into a project (I call it my writing cave) and am just coming up for air.

And it’s been a fun project…so fun that it sort of swept me away for most of November and December. And while I wasn’t looking, this happened…!

And this…

Alas, summer is gone.

So, hubby said…ENOUGH! Off to warmer places we go! (And of course I put up a BIG FIGHT). But here we are safe in warmer climates this past weekend a sort of celebration for finishing the EPIC PROJECT OF 2023 PART 1.

This is beautiful but chilly Savannah, by the way, and the gorgeous river walk.

It’s a good thing hubs makes me escape because it’s WAY TOO EASY to get caught up in the world of…

(And here it is, the EPIC PROJECT OF 2023 REVEAL…)

The Minnesota Marshalls series!

That’s right—the very nice (yet tough and heroic) Minnesota branch of the Marshall Family!

Fraser. Jonas. Ned. Iris. Creed.

We first met the family as the hosts for the PEAK Montana Rescue team when a tornado ravaged their small Minnesota town and trapped the youngest son, Creed and his track team in the rubble. Also in that story was older brother Jonas Marshall, a storm chaser in Storm Front (Book 5 in the Montana Rescue series). You then met brother and former smokejumper Ned, as well as the oldest brother, Fraser, a Navy SEAL, in Wait for Me, (Book 6 in the Montana Rescue series). Fraser also appeared in the recent, Sunburst and Sundown (Sky King ranch series).

But now it’s time for the cousins of the Montana Marshalls, the owners of Marshall Fields Winery in Minnesota, to have their own epic story. From Fraser to Jonas to Ned to Iris, the mysterious sister, to Creed, as well as the parents, Garrett and Jenny, every Marshall has a role to play in this breathtaking global-slash-midwestern series about how one family just might find themselves in a plot to destroy…or save the world.

Yeah, those Marshalls…what have they gotten themselves into this time?

Find out TODAY! Because book one FRASER just dropped in the Susan May Warren Fiction store!

About the book:

Fraser Marshall is pretty sure his career as a Spec Ops fighter is over. Yes, he’s gone into private security, working for Jones, Inc, but his last gig ended with him wounded and taken captive. And those wounds just won’t heal. The last thing he wants to do is stick around his family’s winery pressing grapes. But what choices does he have?

The answer comes via a panicked phone call from his kid brother, Creed.

Help, Fraser. I’m in over my head…

Yeah he is, because he’s run away with a princess, with her bodyguard hot on the trail. And said bodyguard, Pippa Butler is going to hunt them down, no matter the cost.

Even if she has to join forces with a bossy, arrogant former American SEAL. But Pippa has her own set of lethal skills, and if Fraser gets in the way, she’ll leave him on the side of the road. Still, maybe he’s not a terrible side-kick. He is handsome, and he makes her laugh…

No, no, bad Pippa! She has no room for a man—an American—in her life. And Fraser hasn’t ever considered slowing down. Even if Pippa has him wondering if there is a different future ahead.

But there’s more to the story than a Romeo-and-Juliet runaway romance. Princess Imani has seen a murder, and the perpetrator isn’t going to let her get away. Will Fraser and Pippa find the couple first?

And if they do, can they work together to keep them safe?

It’ll be tough if their hearts get in the way…

The book officially hits ALL RETAILERS on February 14, 2023, and you can pre-order it now for $5.99. BUT, if you can’t wait (and I get that—that Fraser is SUCH a hero!) you can get it now on the SMWF Store (ebook and audio only right now).

Oh, did I forget to mention the audio? The book is recorded by the amazing Adam Gold, who did my RJ & York series, and I’m so thrilled to have him giving a voice to Fraser, and Pippa and Imani and the rest of the Marshall family.

Why today? Because it’s my birthday. And I wanted to spend it with my favorite family. (okay, in truth, I’m also spending it with my REAL family. And some friends. And now you. 😀)

The next book, Jonas comes out in April (but in the SMWF Store in March!) and as usual, the entire series releases in 2023.

And it’s an epic ride. So get in the car, buckle up and let’s do this! (I promise to stop for snacks and ice cream along the way.)

Thank you, and stay tuned for Epic Project of 2023 Part 2! (she says as she goes back into her writing cave…)

Thank you for being such awesome readers!
