Susie‘s still off in New Zealand and this time, she’s reporting back with tales of all the yummy food she’s been eating.
Apparently that second picture is a food called “Bubble and Squeak.” Why it’s called that, since it looks pretty much like a perkins country skillet? Your guess is as good as mine. But I will say this, I don’t think our food has fun enough names over here in the U.S.
Susie and Andrew also saw a Black Swan, which I honestly didn’t know was a real thing….reminds me of taking my toddler to the zoo last week, where she realized for the first time that her favorite animal (the Gorilla) was a real life thing and not just a fuzzy blob seen in Tarzan (her favorite movie).
All around it seems like Susie is having a real adventure over in New Zealand, and I’m just a little jealous….luckily for all of us stuck at home and not roaming the shire hillsides, we have books to take us on an grand adventure! That’s why I’m so excited about this sweet christian romantic adventure collection coming out NEXT WEEK, written by a few of my fellow Sunrise Publishing authors!

However, when danger strikes, wedding bells won’t be in anyone’s future if they can’t stop the person set on revenge. But can Liz depend on Asher, who won’t leave her side, or does he have an agenda of his own? With her life and company on the line—the ultimate cost may just be her heart.
Forgotten in Alaska – Tabitha Bouldin

But when she’s called to treat a sick sled dog, she comes face-to-face with him and a devastating truth: an accident stole his memory of her for the last five years. He returned as soon as he remembered but refuses to let her close until he uncovers what happened. Unable to watch him leave again, Morgan joins his dangerous journey into the Alaskan wilderness, reigniting their feelings for each other. When missing dogs and stolen supplies suggest someone wants the truth buried, they must survive nature’s fury and ruthless pursuers to find answers.
Spring on Apple River – Andrea Christenson
Elena Kennedy scoops ice cream and pulls espresso at her family’s café near the Apple River in Sunset Falls, Wisconsin, but she dreams of returning to Russia, the country she fell in love with as a missionary. Secret Service agent Mack Rogers hates his current assignment: babysitting a former president in Nowheresville, Wisconsin, a posting he suspects is punishment for the near assassination of the President on his watch.
When Mack meets Elena on his daily coffee run, sparks fly. Then he notices her photographs from Russia—taken disturbingly close to the assassination site. Can he clear her name so they can be together?
Unexpected Bridges – Rebecca Reed
Can a secret bridge the years and hurt between them?
If she’d known signing on to be a bridesmaid would drag her into a quest to search out clues hidden in buried journals, Emily Hunt may not have agreed. But then she’d have missed mine explosions, tomato guts, friendship, and the reunion with the former best friend she still writes though he’s never answered.
Desperate to pay for his mom’s pacemaker, Diamante Butz leverages a century-old family relic to sue for partial ownership in a Montana ranch. He doesn’t expect to find belonging or the woman he owes a confession.
Anyway, happy Friday, tune in next week for more fun from New Zealand!
