No, it can’t be true…

Rel Mollet Books

Listen, I’m just sayin’ I’m not ready.

It can’t be the end of summer already! I still have more home projects, still need more rides in the T-top corvette, more summer nights by the fire table, more long walks to frogs chirruping in the marsh.

And wouldn’t you know it — now my garden decides to show up. All season I’ve been out there watering and weeding and muttering encouraging things at a bunch of green sticks, hoping they’re produce flowers (this is also, coincidentally, how I hash out a first draft). And then this week I walk outside and — bam. Flowers.

But that’s the way it goes, isn’t it? You tend something long enough, you start to wonder if anything’s ever going to come of it… and then suddenly it happens.

Which brings me to books. Because this week has seen the long season of writing finally coming to harvest. All that angst…suddenly beautiful.

And I have some thanks to offer…

First — NOTHING BUT AIR hit #1 in its category!🎉

I got to write this big, epic, edge-of-a-cliff summer story with my dear friend Tari Faris, and watching it climb to the top has been such a joy. Eden and Teague climbing their way toward each other in the Grand Canyon, and now readers climbing right along with them. (And no, we are not done. Tari and I have a few more things up our sleeves. I’ll say no more. For now.)

Thank you for picking up Nothing But Air!!

And then there’s SOUTH.

The reviews for this one have my whole heart.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart!

(BTW: this is the LAST weekend for the launch price. After this it goes up, so if SOUTH has been sitting in your someday pile, today is your someday.)

Now, let’s talk about this week’s FREEBIE: Wrong Person, Right Time by Kelly Borjas

In an attempt to move past her undying love for her best friend Cash, Lucy Connell tries online dating (we’ve all been there — or at least we’ve all watched a friend do it and quietly panicked). But when Lucy sends a discreet message for help, Cash Blanchard has to save her — before she suffers the same fate as the women catfished and tortured before her.

Best-friends-to-more plus a race against a killer? Yes please.

And now, a confession. I’m too tired to cook tonight, so I talked Hubs into going out. Because after vacation my house looks like it lost a fight with a suitcase, and after a full week of work my brain has achieved the exact texture of week-old hotdish. I have nothing left to give the kitchen. What I need is a good steak, a nice glass of wine, and someone else to do the dishes.

I guess there’s a theme in that. Sometimes the harvest is a #1 book. 😊 And sweet reviews. And sometimes it’s just remembering to feed yourself something that isn’t crackers over the sink. 😊

Thank you for surviving the summer with me! I mean it. You’re the best part of every harvest.

Blessings,
