A little bit of paradise…

I’m writing this newsletter from my author friend Tracy Higley’s backyard, and friends—it is gorgeous out here. Rolling green hills, birdsong, a summer breeze… it’s the kind of place that makes a writer want to linger over her coffee and call it “research.”

Tracy has been the most gracious host—she’s even been on a personal mission to keep the sun off me (see photographic evidence below ). That’s a true friend right there. (And, by the way, she’s also and amazing author! Check out here books here.

Honestly, I’m just so blessed. One of the sweetest gifts of this writing life is getting to travel and land in the homes (and backyards!) of dear friends. Every trip fills my creative well—and sometimes, it fills it with an entire book.
