Information we collect
Information you give us. If you sign up for our newsletter, enter a giveaway, leave a comment, or contact us, we collect what you provide — typically your name and email address.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our web host and the services embedded in our pages receive standard technical information when you visit: your browser type, device type, approximate location based on IP address, the pages you view, and the site that referred you. Some of this is collected through cookies and similar technologies.
We do not collect payment information on this site. Book purchases happen on retailer sites such as Amazon, which handle payment under their own privacy policies.
How we use information

Third-party services we use
Email. Our newsletter is delivered through Kit (formerly ConvertKit). If you subscribe, your name and email address are stored with Kit so we can send you the messages you signed up for. Kit processes this information on our behalf under its own privacy policy.
Advertising. We advertise our books on Facebook, Instagram, and Amazon. These platforms may place cookies or tracking pixels on this site so we can measure whether an ad led someone to visit, and so readers who have shown interest in our books may see our ads again. We receive these results in aggregate form. We do not receive, and do not have access to, the identity of individual people who saw or clicked an ad.
Amazon Advertising reporting. We use Amazon’s advertising reporting tools and API to retrieve performance data for our own advertising campaigns — figures such as impressions, clicks, spend, and sales totals. This data covers our advertising account only. It is stored on our own computers, used solely for internal analysis of how our advertising is performing, and is never sold or shared with third parties.
Affiliate links. Some links to books on this site are affiliate links, meaning we may earn a small commission if you purchase through them, at no additional cost to you. This includes participation in the Amazon Associates program.
How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only with the service providers described above, who process it on our behalf, and only where required by law.
Cookies
Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We use them to keep the site working properly and to measure advertising results. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work as well if you do.
Your choices and rights
Unsubscribing. Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. You can use it at any time, and we will stop emailing you.
Access and deletion. You may ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email susan@susanmaywarren.com and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Depending on where you live — including the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and California — you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or the CCPA. We honor these requests regardless of where you live.
How long we keep information
We keep newsletter subscriber information for as long as you remain subscribed, and for a short period afterwards in case you resubscribe. Advertising measurement data is retained according to the settings of the platforms described above.
Children
This site is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes will be announced in our newsletter.
