The Shark Whisperer

Happy Friday!

So, it’s going to be a quiet weekend. I said goodbye to my youngest son who hopped on a plane back to his home/work in Kazakhstan. He teaches ESL at a college, and while we miss him, it’s great to see him doing the things he loves.

In fact, when you find your passion and it becomes your career, “working” doesn’t feel like work. My father gave me this advice once—“you’re going to spend 8+ hours a day working…you should find something you like to do.” Yes…although it does sometimes take a while, right? Most people don’t get into that place until they’ve worked their way through a few jobs.

I feel very blessed to do what I love every day for 8+ hours.

One of those things is research! I love to dive into good memoirs or biographies, watch travel Vlogs and documentaries. And I follow a lot of people on Instagram who work in the professions I write about. One of them is a gal from Hawaii named Ocean Ramsey. She’s a shark expert and her videos are often about diving with Great White sharks. #scary #notme

In fact, Netflix just released a documentary called “Shark Whisperer” about her.

I *may* have used her as my inspiration in creating Austen Kingston, my heroine in my current book release.

I think you’ll enjoy the documentary—it’s an easy watch and very interesting.

Meanwhile…Burning Secrets just dropped on Amazon and it’s climbing the charts. (In fact, all 4 books are currently on the best-seller list!) I’m so grateful to everyone who is loving this series as much as I am.

RESCUE. DANGER. DEVOTION.
THIS TIME, THEIR HEARTS ARE ON THE LINE.

Wildlife biologist JoJo Butcher isn’t just a smokejumper for the Midnight Sun crew—she’s also in Alaska to finish up her wolf research…until, oops, she finds herself face-to-face with a wolf with nowhere to go…
And then she’s rescued by a hero from the woods. Who exactly is he, and what secrets is he hiding?

I love the fake girlfriend/undercover hero trope. And there are some old friends from past Susan May Warren books you’ll meet again. (Of course!)

I’m loving the reviews…

Thank you!

I’m off to make dinner – I’m making Beef Shawarma (sooo good!) Here’s the recipe: https://www.themediterraneandish.com/grilled-beef-shawarma/

Thank you for reading, and have a beautiful July weekend.

P.S. Oh, your FREE BOOK!!

I’m currently binge reading books by Alyssa Schwarz. She’s a fantastic up-and-coming author (who, *shameless plug* also writes for Sunrise Publishing!) who pens lovely romances about big families. You’ll love this free novella about a second chance romance, a horse vet and a small town’s valentine’s traditions. (I know it’s July, but we still need love in July!)

Here you go!

After finishing his veterinarian training, Tye Prescott is back in Colorado and ready to give his relationship with Beth another chance, only she’s made it very clear she wants nothing to do with him.
Beth Walsh is a hopeless romantic, except when it comes to her own love life. In her opinion, love is best left to the storybooks. But when a few nosy octogenarians decide to play matchmaker, she grasps for the only excuse she can think of to avoid another set up.
Set against the backdrop of Loveland’s historic Valentine’s Day letter re-mailing program, Tye and Beth must work together to convince the town of their rekindled romance. But Tye has his own plans of winning back the woman who got away.

Might it finally be time for Beth to risk her heart again?

Enjoy!
