Charlene at Quintessentially Quilly Baby It’s Cold Outside is going on my keeper shelf. I expect I will make a yearly pilgrimage to Frost, Minnesota and spend the 1949 Christmas holidays stranded in Dottie Morgan’s quaint Victorian house with her and her four reluctant visitors as they learn how powerful love and forgiveness can be.

Nise’ at Under the Boardwalk Whether she writes historical, contemporary, or suspense, Susan always delivers a great story. It was easy to care for these wounded characters and root for them to find forgiveness, redemption, and a second chance. Many tender moments that will require a kleenex or two. I will continue to reach for Susan’s books.
Renee at Black ‘n Gold Girl’s Book Spot I was glued to every word of this story. Warren has captured the spirit of Christmas while also keeping true to the feeling of loss and sadness that gripped the nation immediately following the World War II.

I loved seeing how these four characters, bitter, angry, and lost in the beginning, helped one another face the truth of their situations and to begin to have hope for their futures. It’s a good clean read that’s full of love, romance, and redemption.

Tanya at In the Dailies It may have been seventy degrees outside, but you can bet I, vicariously trapped in the story, grabbed my fuzzy socks, made hot chocolate and asked my husband to start up the fire.
Kimberly at Living On Limited Income This book grabbed my attention on the first page with it’s brooding, yet lovable main character, Dottie Morgan. The author describes her with such descriptive words that you can almost picture her appearance and affect. The plot is so layered, interesting, and fast moving, that I just couldn’t put the book down! My only issue is that the book had to end!

Thou Art Jules Baby It’s Cold Outside is not your average Holiday love story! I was delighted to find an incredible cast of complex people with a riveting history and an even more exciting future! I found myself white knuckled on a few pages waiting to see what was going to happen when danger struck, I found myself strangely emotional as each character navigated their own personal demons. This is not a book about tinsel and bows but about human emotion, healing past and present hurts and learning the dangerous art of trust, communication and love.

I’m not always a fan of this device in storytelling, but with this story it works well. It adds to the mystery of the story and the storm.

I adored the characters of Gordy and Violet, but all of the characters were so well crafted, I felt like I knew them. This was the perfect book to read during the cool nights we’ve recently had.
