| I can hardly believe this but… seven years of remodeling—SEVEN, (the biblical number of completion, which feels almost too on-the-nose)—we have reached the end of the Great House Project.
Okay, almost. Let’s not get too excited. But let’s say we’re on that final room. The Garage. Now, if you’ve ever remodeled anything, you know the garage is where dreams go to be stored in cardboard boxes and forgotten. Ours was no exception. (See Blue Box of Doom down further.) But this weekend, the very last piece fell into place: a shiny, speckled, gorgeous new garage floor coating.
The Garage Force guys ground down the cement, vacuumed it, rolled on the coating, and flecked it with those little confetti chips. It’s gorgeous. (I mean, if you’re into that kind of thing.
Now, we have to, um, empty the Blue Box. Back into our beautiful garage. [Or, maybe just throw a match inside! (No! Bad Susie. Hubby’s tools and about 50 boxes of old Susan May Warren books are in there!) In truth, we’ll be ordering a dumpster just in case some of the Blue Box items need a new home.]
Behold: the big blue box, keeper of all our worldly garage treasures. But it’s DONE. Seven years done. Bam. Just in time to sell. (No, just kidding. Sort of.)
The Summer of the Burning Sky Audiobook Collection is 50% OFF right now—four swoon-worthy Montana Fire stories in one unforgettable collection. Smokejumpers, second chances, and a whole lot of heat (the good kind). If you’ve been wanting to listen your way through these, this is your moment. Four stories. One collection. Half price. But not for long! I’m still at ACFW–pics next week. (Hubs is going to sheetrock the garage while I’m gone, that lucky dog.) Have a beautiful weekend! Go in grace,
