RECLAIMING NICK
Meet Nick...A Prodigal Cowboy Who Will Lasso Your Heart

He’d returned to his family’s Montana ranch. The reckless son now aware of his sins, Nick is ready to make restitution. He turned into the Silver Buckle drive, passing under the swinging oval sign, freshly painted in green and white, and memory nearly engulfed him:

Reclaiming Nick“Someday, Son, you’ll run the Silver Buckle.”
Then why did you hand it off to Cole, Dad? To punish me?

Award-winning author Susan May Warren introduces readers to ranch country in and the fate of the Noble family in her new romantic suspense novel, Reclaiming Nick, book one in the Noble Legacy Series. A lover of westerns and cowboy fiction, Susan traveled to Otter, MT, and stayed on a working ranch to research this story. “I wanted to know what the grass smelled like, the sound of the wind across the pastures. I wanted to the reader to feel what it was like to live on a ranch.” She stayed with ranchers Allan and Jan Lloyd, and worked alongside them to fix water lines and water the bulls. “I’ll never forget my host feeding a gigantic bull named “PeeWee” an alfalfa snack like he might be a puppy! That took some spine.” The first in the trilogy launches in January, 2007 with Tyndale House publishers. The subsequent books will feature his siblings, Rafe and Stefanie and their stories which all unfold in God’s country –Montana.

Nick Noble hadn’t planned on being the prodigal son. But when his father dies and leaves half of Silver Buckle –the Noble family ranch– to Nick’s former best friend, he must return home to face his mistakes and guarantee that the ranch stays in Noble hands. Believing Nick framed her brother for murder, journalist Piper Sullivan is determined to find justice. She follows Nick to the Silver Buckle where posing as a ranch cook appears to be more challenging than she thinks. So does resisting his charming smile. As Nick seeks to overturn his father’s will, family secrets surface that send his life into a tailspin. But there’s someone who’s out to take the Silver Buckle from the Noble family, and he’ll stop at nothing –even murder– to make it happen.

In Reclaiming Nick, Susan May Warren vividly depicts how forgiveness and redemption –from both God and those around you– can affect one’s life. Susan May Warren recently returned to Minnesota with her family after serving eight years as missionaries in Siberia, Russia. A multi-published author of novels, including the award-winning Happily Ever After, (Tyndale) and In Sheep’s Clothing (Steeple Hill), she is known among her readers and reviewers, as well as other novelists, for her gift of combining complex plots with powerful Christian content in her absorbing stories. She lives in Grand Marais, MN.
